February, 2003, Bruce Gravel’s light-hearted stories have
delighted readers of the Peterborough Examiner newspaper, the Globe
& Mail newspaper, and Maclean’s magazine, among other
magazines and newspapers in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
His family-friendly wit is suitable for most ages. His first book,
Humour on Wry, with Mustard, was published in 2008. His second book
and first humour novel, Inn-Sanity: Diary of an Innkeeper Virgin,
was published in September 2009. His third book Humour on Wry, with
Mayo featuring Travels with Fred the World's Worst Tourist, was
published in November 2010. His fourth book of funny short stories,
Humour on Wry, with Ketchup, was published in July 2012.
has been President of the Ontario Accommodation Association since
1985, Canada’s largest non-profit provincial association specializing
in innkeepers, headquartered in Peterborough. He authored the association’s
widely- used Innkeeper’s Reference Book, now in its 5th edition.
community volunteer work includes Chairing the charitable Peterborough
Foundation, and serving in the Peterborough Rotary Club.

He has addressed many diverse audiences: Rotary clubs, associations,
clubs, college and university students. Popular topics include: "Why
